The debut album from LIES (featuring Nate and Mike Kinsella) comes out March 31st, 2023 via Polyvinyl/Big Scary Monsters. Pre-order
Getting around to listening. They definitely played this at SV in December. I have two free tickets to use up for any SV show, definitely gonna use them for this.
So excited, I thought we're not gonna get a full album, they had mentioned releasing music as singles only. Is that the artwork for the LP? Really liked the first one the most, but it's all quite cool. The new single's solid too, pretty original for Mike especially
That's the LP artwork. Definitely curious where those American Football pieces went if they didn't end up here. We knew that LIES grew out of what they had tried to work out for LP4. But I'm definitely into more Kinsella.
And for those of you who are local - I'm always up for grabbing a drink at Sleeping Village. I'm there at least once a week.
Vinyl variants I've seen so far: Official/Retail (Metallic silver) Polyvinyl early bird (Blue twist) /300 Brooklyn Vegan exclusive (Dark blue) /250 Big Scary Monsters UK exclusive (Electric blue with orange/red splatter) /500
Track list: 1. Blemishes 2. Echoes 3. Corbeau 4. Resurrection 5. Broken 6. Camera Chimera 7. Summer Somewhere 8. No Shame 9. Rouge Vermouth 10. Knife 11. Sympathetic Eyes 12. Merely
All these songs are great, can't wait for this full thing. Also, the artwork reminds me of the (fantastic) final album from Her Name Is Calla:
i'm sure it's just me but i think the whole animal cover art for all releases don't match their music at all.
