Would love for this to get picked up to encourage more risk taking like this movie did. But also I can’t imagine this hitting super hard in a theater full of people open mouth chomping on popcorn or whatever
I'd say the same thing, which is unfortunate because a lot of the responses I saw (even after I saw the film) said it absolutely worked in a festival setting, which is obviously geared more towards a certain crowd. Hope he's alright and wonder if it has anything to do with the passing mentioned at the beginning of the film. This is not for everyone (and that's okay), but it might be my favorite film of the year, mostly because it made me feel genuine fear - something I'm not sure a horror film has made me feel in my adult life. I've thought about it pretty much every day since I saw it.
Oh last night was the first in three nights that I felt okay sleeping with the lights off and I still had to have one on in the hallway. Also have either the tv or music on constantly because I’m not trying to hear any whispers lollllll
