Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll 7. The Beatles - Let It Be 8. David Bowie - "Heroes" 9. The Rolling Stones - Sweet Virginia 10. Bob Dylan - Simple Twist of Fate Fucking impossible. I fully intended to triple up on Springsteen (since "Jungleland" and "Born to Run" are both also in my all-time top 15, along with "Thunder Road,' which is my favorite song), but then that just opened a whole can of worms where I also wanted "Backstreets" and "Badlands" and "Incident." And then I would have wanted to double up on Billy Joel too, because "Vienna" is one of my favorite songs ever as well. Long story short, decided to just stick with the one song per artist rule, as much as that rule sucks. Anyway, insane decade.
With my napkin math, by refraining from doubling up on Bruce and voting for Bowie, you just put "Heroes" ahead of "Born to Run" as the top song. Haha
I am once again getting my hopes up that us both voting for something ("Summer, Highland Falls") will give it a shot.
It's also just a perfect take. I've heard so many live versions and they're all good but never quite the exact magic of that version.
