Haha, this thread so far. >-p

I'll shed a tear for The '59 Sound, but yeah, Born to Run would get my vote over anything.

Gaslight for me. Been really trying with Bruce throughout this bracket and he still hasn’t clicked for me

    Let it run Supporter

Born to Run very very very easily. If you like any bit of Gaslight I don't know how you wouldn't like Born to Run. Outside of like, nostalgia for '59 Sound, I guess.

I definitely return to the '59 sound more, and it holds a larger piece of my heart, but it's just impossible for me to vote for it over BTR

I know The ‘59 Sound is often framed as an attempt to make a Born to Run, but I don’t think these two albums are all that similar, tbh. On the podcast I did last fall with Alex Rosamilia, he said they basically went into this album wanting to combine their punk influences, plus their Jersey roots, plus the Motown/Stax records they grew up loving. Direct quote: "So, Sam Cooke, Joe Strummer, Bruce Springsteen: If you do the diagram with the triangle, we'd be right in the middle of that; that's The '59 Sound."

Born to Run is the only one of my all time top 5 left. ‘59 is great and I have great memories with it, but only 4 albums all time could get this vote for me
