Marcel is an adorable, 1-inch-tall shell who ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother, Connie, and their pet lint, Alan. Once part of a sprawling community of shells, they now live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy. However, when a documentary filmmaker discovers them, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans, as well as unprecedented dangers and a new hope of finding his long-lost family.
Hadn't realized the 6/24 date was limited until I looked for showtimes yesterday. :( Very excited about this one.
Saw this last night, and it’s one of the most delightful 90 minutes I’ve ever spent in a movie theater. Also, before the movie the whole theater recited the Nicole Kidman ad and it was magical. 10/10 night at the movies.
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, but if that happened in a showing I was in I think my eyes would roll so hard that they would become detached and I would never see a movie again

I guess it's opening to major cites and not everywhere friday? I'm 90 minutes from both orlando and Miami and that's the only places it's playing in florida. I'm debating on making the trip to either city to see it friday.
In Boston, it's a very weird combo of theaters that has it and not the usual suburbs that get more indie movies, is at one of the theaters that hardly ever gets indie movies, and is only expanding to one additional theater this weekend. I think they're heavily expanding based off the demographic of millennials in cities that seem to love this
