Such mixed feelings on NMH in the year 2022. Aeroplane is a pretty wonderful record, full of great lyrics and interesting music but it's aged pretty poorly for me. Very small amount of NMH songs I ever want to listen to anymore. I don't think it's as simple as myth = good, and then they came back and the myth was gone and now it's clear they were never that good, but I think it's a little bit overrated AND 20 years later it feels like it influenced a lot of music I don't care for. Rambling but I am already bummed it's gonna win.
I bought my first ever CD in 1998, aged six year old: England got knocked out on penalties in the quarter finals of the world cup that year, and I cried when David Beckham got sent off.
