Not sure I really love the staggered release thing but I will not complain about 18 new Beach House songs

 

With an 18 song Beach House album and a 20 song Big Thief album incoming I can alreadyyyyyy feel the long indie album backlash brewing.

 

Will also not be dropping $52 on the limited. Silver for $28 will be fine. Though I’ll probably wait till the 4 songs drop to cop.

And of course they come to Indy the week I’m in Florida. Fucks sake.

 

The Grand Rapids date is the day after I'm seeing Waxahatchee. That'll be a fun weekend.

A couple of thoughts.

I truly hate the 4 chapter rollout. I think it’s tacky and I can’t recall a time where I enjoyed it.

I was a little nervous when I saw they produced the whole thing themselves. I feel like they are a band that can benefit greatly from outside influence to push their sound into new places (ie Lemon Glow).

but all in all these songs are very nice pleasant Beach House songs. Need to spend more time obviously.

 

ive listened to the 4 songs too many times this morning already. bought the stupidly expensive box set because im a sucker.

 

Really digging this, the synths/electronics are so good on this

yeah, if these songs are an indicator of the whole, we are in for a fuckin treat. superstar is gorgeous.

 

Ok. These are great. “Superstar” is really one of their best songs.
