said in the other thread that, there is mostly a whole lot of nothing in this trailer, but I am excited none the less to get more SW content in this style. Favreau, Filoni, and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning as directors, and Robert Rodriguez apparently did a few episodes as well. Unsure if that was already known 'round these parts.
Yea, very little shown here, which I kinda like. I’m way more excited for this than I would’ve been a few years ago, really like what they’ve done with Boba on Mando.
Still feels kind of weird they're taking Boba Fett and turning him into some kind of honorable anti-hero type character but, you know, fans think he's badass so here we are. I'll watch it just to see Ming-Na Wen do her thing.
Are we expecting some more Mando crossover with it? I don't know if the Mando voice over was just an attention grabber, or if he'll actually play a role in the show.
I expect Mando to appear in this, but idk if i expect serious crossover. I could see Mando popping in for an episode.
Wonder if this and Kenobi are meant to hold us over until Mando S3. Kenobi i believe is 6 episodes and was confirmed to be premiering in 2022. Ahsoka wont even begin filming until ‘early 2022’ so likely we get that late 2022/early 2023. supposedly Ahsoka, Book of Boba, Mando, and Rangers of the New Republic are all taking place within the same timeline and will ultimately all connect.
Regarding Rangers. It was tagged on the end of the article announcing Filoni’s promotion that it wasn’t in active development. That said, it recently was mentioned again, I think it was Deadline, that it was still coming down the pipeline. Everything around it has been handled really quietly.
https://disneyplusoriginals.disney.com/show/rangers-of-the-new-republic Disney still has it advertised on their website.
Just recast Cara Dune with a non-conservative moron lead actor. I will never understand why Hollywood has suddenly become so vehemently against recasting actors. It's one of the dumbest hang-ups imaginable. Remember when everyone was totally fine with Nolan recasting Katie Holmes with Maggie Gyllenhaal in 2008? Just do it.
