i couldn’t finish this
i grabbed the yoshi egg
grabbed the P signal and turned everything into coins
grabbed the shell head
destroyed all the blocks
found the cape powerup
stuck

notes:
having things off screen like that feels a bit strange
im not sure if i did the sequence correctly or im missing something
some of the powerups like the yoshi egg didn’t show up again after resetting the room
there was a bob omb that was hiding behind the score hud of the screen? not sure if that was intentional

 

Did you destroy *all* the blocks with the shellmet? There are a couple you're not supposed to be able to destroy until after you get the cape...

 

i trimmed my record down to 17.1 seconds

 

These were cool. Couple things I didnt know you could do in Mario Maker.

 

I’m actually pretty bad at 2D Mario in general, I just like it regardless lol

As my first go on a level I thank any of you that have played it. I'm working on a new one currently and it's a 2D one. I probably won't finish it today.

 

lol that was me during the Super Mario Run days. i hated everyone whose times i couldn’t beat

thanks i figured it out. i got stuck here (attached image).

the bob omb have this weird behavior where sometimes it goes ON-OFF but then at times it just goes OFF and never comes back ON. is that part of if? that’s cool. i didn’t even know there was a timing thing

 

I think there might be a bug. How are you setting off the bob-omb?

There is a second bob-omb hiding behind the first one. The idea was that if you don't eat the first bob-omb with the green yoshi, both will go off and the switches won't actually change. But looks like there might be some issues with the timing =/
update:

Yeah. When I added the muncher stack I moved the bob-omb over, and now it gets lit too late and sometimes fires at the same time as the second bob-omb. Sorry about that. I'll upload a fixed version later. But for now just eat the first bob-omb

 

so do the switches actually do anything then? that sounds interesting.
i think it just needs more polish but the creativity is definitely there. i just have a habit of exploring everything in close-spaced areas so i think that’s why i run into the random interactions

 

I made something terrible

 

small suggestion if you want people to find secrets instead of breezing through the levels make it a more confined space. when i see a big open stage i just wanna sonic it and do all the big jumps

im envious of all of your creativity. i’ve spent 2 days trying to create a simple stage and i ended up getting frustrated and playing story mode lol
