Caroline Polachek - Pang (October 18, 2019) Album

Caroline Polachek (ex-Chairlift, Ramona Lisa) is set to release her debut single under her own name tomorrow (June 19).

After 3 albums, Chairlift broke up in 2017. In the time since, Polachek has released an ambient album, Drawing the Target Around the Arrow, under CEP. She's also contributed vocals to tracks by Charli XCX, The Night Game, Felicita, and Fischerspooner, along with writing credits on tracks by Beach Fossils, Superfruit, and Tommy Cash. She's spent much time in the studio with PC Music's Danny L Harle, with whom she recorded 2016's "Ashes of Love" and co-wrote Tommy Cash's "X-Ray," so it's assumed some of that material will end up on whatever project she puts out.

idk, I much prefer whatever this sounds like to Chairlift, and her features recently were off the charts insanely good, especially the one on The Night Game record.

Moth is pretty much a perfect album. “Crying in Public” truly gets me every time.

I got to meet Caroline at the NY Pop 2 afterparty last year which was really special because it was like 2 hours after I bawled my eyes out when she came out and performed “Tears” with Charli lol. She told me there was going to be lots of new music last year and it was really a bummer when nothing materialized. Needless to say, I’ve been way to eager for anything to finally drop.

 

Oh yeah, this is going to be special.

 

I got to work hoping it would be up already. Can't wait.
