am i really to just go about life assuming that every brownie is gonna be a dud anyway here's brownie number three ayoooo
i really really wish i had waffle house or taco bell or mcdonalds breakfast. the cheap, greasy shit that i won't hate myself for eating cause........yknow...
decline of western civilization was kind of a let down for me. it's fun/funny, but I guess I'd just heard people talk about it so much for decades before actually seeing it, and it didn't match the hype. eraserhead on the other hand is pretty wild
Ah, that's kind of a bummer. I basically have no hype surrounding it though, so maybe I'll enjoy it more? I love David Lynch so yeah not worried there Ended up watching neither :(
Decline is cool. I don't want to shit on it or anything. Your mileage might vary. I just expected something else, I guess.
I also might be in that boat. Just noticed the release year and I thought it'd be more retrospective than it might be. Hmm. Interested either way. Are the sequels worth checking out?
You know, now that you mention it, I might have only seen Pt 2. I'm not really sure which one(s) I've seen.
what should I do tonight: a) go out with old work friends for whiskey and weed b) stay home with roomies for horror movies and weed I'm honestly 50/50 rn
absolutely horror and weed. horror stoned is fucking next level. especially the weird shit, Argento and surrealist horror and stuff. i start seeing layers to the film, it's nuts
Okay, so I think I've seen both 1 & 2. I'm into metal, so I know I watched that one, and I remember being super disappointed. The other one was more punk leaning and was better, but still didn't live up to the hype, imo. There's apparently a 3rd one that I have not seen.
Phenomena was incredible high, I imagine Suspiria would be too. Eraserhead might be too slow. oh, and the Hellraiser movies get really weird at blurring reality lol
It is genuinely hilarious. I love those kids. I'll note Hush. I'm not not into metal but I don't think I have the knowledge needed to enjoy it to it's full extent. I'm all in for the punk one tho
I'll check em out, thanks! My roommate has the hellraiser movies but he doesn't like them so I'll see about watching those
hellraiser is super s&m and grimy, phenomena and suspiria are vibrantly colored serial killer supernatural flicks, eraserhead is psychological arthouse body horror, if those descriptors for stoned viewing are any help
Everybody in here needs to watch American Vandal on Netflix. I’m cracking up sober but I can’t wait to get some weed and rewatch it.
I binge watched the whole thing like two weeks ago. Hilarious. I always passed by it on Netflix cause it sounded/looked serious. It's definitely not
Haha yeah I started it last night at like 8:30 and stayed up later than I normally would have binging it. About to be on the last episode and I’m getting upset.
