it's been three hours since this brownie and nothing. im about to eat another. im about to be that guy.

i just smoked bc it occurred to me i didn't wanna wait hours again. i felt like cotton mouth and the usual stuff but i wasn't like actually high which was weird. also like right before i had the brownie p much

I need to find an edible plug again, been too long. Apparently one of my buddies homegirls is an edibles cook. Have to ask him about her again lol.

 

I'm just too lazy to make "proper" edibles, but it's WAY cheaper to just make them yourself.

 

I like making them, but I always just make them when I have enough friends who want like 2 or 3 too. Then I don't have to freeze them or anything.

 

The laziness, the fear of messing up, and stinking up the apartment were my fears. Don't want my roommates getting irritated though so the smell was definitely the big one for me

 

The smell isn't really bad as long as you don't burn anything. I definitely get the fear of messing up thing though.

 

In my experience the place fucking reeks until you start baking the actual brownies, it's delightful and buttery but it's very clearly weed scented lol. That said it's definitely cost effective to self produce, my shit comes to about four bucks a brownie that would retail at ten

 

And it's not too difficult, although it can be daunting to think about. Happy to give tips if people want

 

just use a double boiler and you'll never burn anything.

 

If you open a window/turn on a fan/use the vent hood, it shouldn't smell that much.

Roommates might notice it, but I wouldn't worry about neighbors.

 

The only issue I have with this is being sure that the inner pot is getting hot enough. I don't have an actual double boiler though, so maybe my DIY ghetto-rigged boiling system just sucks.

 

So two conflicting answers but how long does it linger? Like, does the brownie smell end up overpowering the weed smell by the end or do I definitely have to take extra steps to mask what's happening? I'm definitely gonna try and do it myself next time.

If you want, you can take a Ritz cracker, spread some peanut butter on it (make sure it does NOT have hydrogenated oil in it), sprinkle about a half a gram of finely ground up weed on it, put another cracker on top. Wrap the whole thing in foil and put it in the oven at 300 for about 20 minutes.

It shouldn't smell that much and it will likely get you pretty ripped.

 

It's so easy to just cook on the stove top that i'll prolly never try anything else.

 

Those are called firecrackers right? I hate peanut butter so I'll probably try and find a sub like cookie butter or something, but this is a good idea to test the waters. I could even do this tonight, my bud is likely getting old given how rough it went yesterday so it seems like a better use anyway

what can you make on the stove top? I'm literally imagining scrambling eggs and sprinkling weed on top like salt lmao

 

I just meant to make the oil. Just simmer ground up bud on low for like an hour

I just use a pot and a metal mixig bowl that fits on top of it. It there's enough water and it's a true boil, you should be hitting that sweet spot.

 

Yeah, those are a quick way to make firecrackers, and you don't need a lot of weed so it's a simple, fairly unrisky way to make edibles. Give it a shot.
