I haven't smoked in years and never was a real consistent smoker, more socially. However, due to my personality and demeanor everyone throughout my whole life always assumes I'm a pothead. It's actually really annoying. When I was in my early 20s, I had a job for four years and I remember a few weeks after I left, I met all my old co-workers at a Happy Hour and it somehow got brought up that everyone assumed I was a pothead and smoked every single day and they had all talked about it throughout the four years I was there. It was like an inside joke between everyone there. It was the first I heard about it and I was like what the fuck?

Also, to touch on a few other posts on here, I've been to the Caribbean a few times and man, do they do everything in their power to sell you some weed. My wife and I just went to Jamaica in April, and we had a two hour 'cab ride' from airport to hotel and the driver literally was shoving weed in my face and wouldn't take no for an answer. It was brutal. On the beaches, they'll walk up to you every 10 seconds asking you to buy. Same thing happened in Punta Cana when my wife and I went there a few years ago.

 

That does sound like paradise.

I imagine it would be for smokers, haha. Both times we were staying at an all-inclusive (free food, free alcohol) and I'm a big time drinker, so I was more concerned with getting drinks all day and night and not interfering with that.

Also, a part of me was worried about the weed being laced with something that would cause me to get sick. I don't know why I thought that, but I did.

In most instances, yes. But when you're in a different country on vacation at a high-end resort surrounded by people with machine guns, you tend to be on high alert regarding literally anything.

The fact that kratom hasn't taken over as a valid treatment for opioid addiction is insane. It's so much safer than suboxone and methadone and I can tell you from experience it works when using it to come off of something strong

 

1. Only laced weed I've had is weed my idiot teenage friends and i "laced" ourselves
