Ayy I've got some questions about dabbing. Naive questions I'll admit.

I've been having a hard time finding bud but I've got the chance to get some wax (and I think a reliable source going forward if I want it).

Basically run me down what I'll need and what it'll cost me to get started. And another questions I have is that someone I know said he regretted dabbing because once he did it a few time, smoking wasn't nearly as good for him because it didn't give him the same high as dabbing. So basically he is of the opinion they dabbing ruined smoking for him. Can anyone comment on this?
