355 (Simon Kinberg,January 7,2022) Movie

Simon Kinberg is set to direct from a script he co-wrote with Theresa Rebeck. The movie follows a group of spies from international agencies around the world. These women must bond together, overcoming their suspicions and conflicts, to stop an event from occurring that could thrust the world into chaos. A new faction is formed – code-named “355,” a name they adopt from the first female spy in the American Revolution. Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramirez also co-star.

 

Great cast, but...the director of Dark Phoenix and the writer of Catwoman.

Also, as much as I love Dark Phoenix through its flaws, can’t say I’m into a girlboss movie from the Hollywood dude who wrote this:

absolutely lost it at elite hackers using Dell and Asus computers, Jess' character being named Mason or Mace for short, and that this was written by the creator of Smash
not gonna think too hard about this being the second time Jess has played a cia agent , as well as playing a Mossad agent and political lobbyist
of course Lupita had a scar to show that she's seen shit

sometimes you kinda need a dumb movie that thinks it's smart and maybe one where they talk about mansplaining being bad
