It's sad because these guys clearly have talent and have brushed against brilliance in the past, but it's all hidden behind layers of gimmicks and faux-edginess.

Basically what I'm saying is Jared Leto's band is truly the Jared Leto of bands.

Dear Jared, it’s still not too late to change that awful album artwork.

Hoping the songs are better. Also Tomo has dropped off the tour due to personal reasons so it looks like it’s just going to be Jared and Shannon on stage when I see them next week.

Yeah I’m really not into the new song either. Sounds like they are trying way too hard to stay relevant.

Curious at other people’s thoughts on the new song?

 

Gonna wait until it releases tomorrow to listen. I think I know exactly how it's going to sound

 

Heard some of it and didn't hate it.

Yeah I’m honestly not a fan of this. Doubt I’ll be that into the album honestly, none of the singles so far have really stood out to me.

 

Its insulting tbh to even call it "artwork"

Listening to the new track now and ya i basically know exactly what to expect out of this album at this point as far as the sound they are going for aka lack of guitars.

 

Track is fine I guess but ya overall everything has been disapointing to me v sad but wtv i'll still check it out when it comes out.

 

I just went through all 3 singles now, first two I'd heard once before and MAYBE twice for Walk on Water

I'll admit Walk on Water has grown on me a little bit but yea....not expecting much from this. Which like, has been the feeling from them for a few years now but still.

 

Lol I've never thought of it this way but this band does truly represent Jared Leto; hints of greatness weighted down by pretentiousness

 

Saw their guitarist was not present for Manchester show? Any ideas whats happened there?

 

Tomo's left the tour for personal reasons, pretty much all that was said.

I didn't think it could get worse than the 2013 album.

 

Yeah I'm really not feeling this album cycle which is bumming me out.

When you go back and listen to the previous records and then come back to this it just feels weird like it's not the same band anymore. I mean I'm all for a band changing but this just isn't great.

I'm holding judgement till I've heard the full album but expectations are low at this point.

 

I kinda like Rescue Me. But thats about it.

Artwork is ridiculous. I feel like Jared is just trying to match the absurdity of the Life of Pablo cover.

 

Rescue Me is one of the better songs so far but the Chainsmokers style chorus is terrible.

 

I like Rescue Me. Easily the best song from the album so far.

 

Yeah, I’m thinking there’s virtually no chance I’m going to enjoy this album lol. Ah well.

 

Sadly still super generic imo. Not a fan of the direction they are taking. I'm really afraid this new album is gonna be awful.

 

Rescue Me is alright but yea, still not loving anything. Curious to see how it all goes as a full album.

I'm also really curious how the mainstream reaction to the cover is gonna go

 

Damn I hope this doesn't mean Tomo isn't with them anymore?
