I think, band will release one or two singles maximum this year. New album can arrive closer to spring.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the album comes out July the 4th next year with the film. Last I heard the band only had 3 songs recorded including Walk On Water so we might have a long wait.

 

Finally they are coming back to the U.K. next year and apparently you get the album with the tickets or so I read? Either way can’t wait to see them next year!

 

These guys always make the best music videos.

I could really do without the electronics, and wish they'd bring back actual instruments, and get rid of the "ohh ohh ohhhh's", again, but the general structure of the song is not bad

 

Yeah I just listened and echo what @Ferrari333SP said completely. It’s decent, but I’m not exactly thrilled by the overall direction of this and Walk On Water. Did the previous single even do that well for them? Idk.

 

Strangely enough I had A Beautiful Lie on this morning on the journey to work. Going from that to this is quite hard. Not a fan of the whole direction at all unfortunately.

 

Everything you said is the reason why I haven't been into them lately even though I loved the first two albums.

 

Guess I'm not even gonna bother listening.

 

I’d say if you didn’t like Walk On Water you’ll hate this.

 

Not a fan of This Is War?

 

Yeah this is pretty much what I expected, which means that these days 30STM can write a pretty solid shell of a song but it's overproduced to the point of blandness.

 

This is War was great

 

not in love with it but I like it way more than Walk on Water.

 

It's sadly only ok. Very bland and safe imo. Overproduced. Just really not a fan of the direction they are taking musically.

 

Not really, more of the same as described above and worlds away from songs I love like Attack and R-Evolve. The title track always makes me laugh at the end when he sings "Brave New Woorrrllldd" It sounds like a that is from Disney's Aladdin

 

Don't act like that's not a compliment.

 

Haha, I love Disney movies, Disney songs and that movie in particular, but it does take you out of the song and doesn't belong.

 

At least they still used guitars and drums on This Is War

 

I don't care about drums and guitars at all, I just want well written songs with good melodies. This is War has that for me.

 

The guitars and drums are soaring on This Is War though but I agree the new ‘era’ sounds uninspired.
