I feel the same too I really want to like it because I've been itching for new 30STM for ages. I just can't believe this could potentially be our last album cycle from them and this isn't the way to go out. I'm eager to hear more but with only 4 songs finished (including this one) I doubt we'll get the album till next year at this point.
Jared mentioned earlier on in the year during the Muse gigs that it might be the last album cycle and they'd focus on releasing singles and potentially eps going forward. Of course they might change their mind but it seems they've really struggled this cycle to get the songs down. I watched this interview today and it's interesting to note Walk On Water took 3 years to complete (damn!) and the footage is in fact all real. I was hesitate because a lot of the footage seemed too good to be submissions from fans but it turns out they sent a 90 odd camera crews out to states all over. The song has grown on me slightly but I'm still hoping for much better songs on the album when it finally does come out. Also I'm not a fan of the hippy(?) look Jared has got going on recently haha.
This is pretty trippy and I have to say I like it. Also Jared's vocals are pretty flawless here. The song has grown on me tbh.
But not so sure about that guest rapper seems kinda random and tacked on but wtv didnt ruin it or anything
I was a bit confused too. I mean there were some bits that sounded live but the rest sounded like a backing track was playing over Jareds voice?
Hopefully the album announcement haha! At a guess probably a video for Walk On Water judging from the hashtag?
Has the song grown for you at all haha? I'm not a massive fan still but it has grown slightly. I'm eager to hear more I just hope the rest is stronger.
It has on me. I mean Jared is one of my fave vocalist so i'll always be interested. Hopefully he lets loose even more tho. He def has the pipes to do so
Source? I mean, I listen to it and I can stand it but it's not one of my favorites. The VMAs performance was pretty sick though.
Jared stopped by the BBC live lounge for a melody of artists that are no longer with us. He sounds really good here!
Exactly how I feel too. I'm excited to hear more but I feel their other leads singles from past albums are a lot stronger. There's also a rendition of Kings & Queens (one of my favourites) and Walk On Water.
Yeah for what it is Walk on Water is fine. Good but not great. Is it safe to say the album is not happening this year at this point?! I mean it sounds like it will be released in conjuction with A day in the life of America which I'm assuming is also next year....?
