WHERE ARE THE GUITARS, JARED?

 

Sounds so much like Imagine Dragons, which makes me think it might actually do pretty well on pop radio.

I don't hate it, I just wish they went back to the hard rock sound of ABL/TIW.

 

This is the biggest steaming pile of trash I've ever heard. I don't know how anyone can say they enjoy this with a straight face. What happened to this band?

 

Hahaha, oh my God. This is like a Jared Leto/30STM parody.

 

It's like, somewhat catchy but yea not super great. I was already a bit soured on LLFD although it was fine, just not nearly as great as their others. Seems like that will continue unfortunately, oh well.

 

That is the opposite of what we all expected. And I don`t like how they made a video. Footage is unrecognizable inside the words.

Just put the new song on again to see how I feel today to only be disappointed once more. Damn.

 

Some "fans" will be happy with anything.

 

Yeah didn't like this song at all. Hopefully the rest of the album is better. Damn I really wanted to like it.

 

True! I consider myself a pretty big fan though and this didn't please me at all.

I'm hoping so. They are usually good with first singles though so this isn't leading me into anticipating the rest at the moment.

This is so bad. I listened to it yesterday in the car and was like I'll come bck to it. I did twice today. I really really don't like this.

I was pretty MIA on here yesterday because I went out-of-town for Kendrick Lamar. I listened to it as soon as I saw his post on Instagram that it was out so I went to Apple Music and listened to it on my drive, my first reaction was this is really bad but I was taken back by "Up in the Air" at first as well so I figured I'd listen to it a few more times. I am on three or four listens now (as I can't remember if I listened to it on my drive home) and I want to like it because it's 30STM, but, I just... can't.

 

BUT I do think Jared sounds good on it but it's too much for me. Its repetitive and I'm just not sure what the direction of the song is. I don't know if I think it's really out of left field or it's the progression they've been making. Maybe it'll grow on me. I'm going to give it another listen or two in a little while.

 

We all agree it's not good but just watch it become their biggest hit. Pop radio loves this kind of shit.

 

After "oh oh ohs" I feel like singing "radioactive radioactive" instead of "Do you believe that you can walk on water"

 

I came here to say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and then I read all your comments, and now I'll just see myself out.

But I liked it. I don't know I didn't really have any expectations about what I thought this would sound like or whether I would like it, and haven't really listened to them since This Is War (which I guess was only 2 albums ago, but still).
