Cool to see Trey Pearson up for something, Everyday Sunday was a big part of my youth group life growing up. His story has been a cool thing to watch since he came out.
Against Me!? Like the whole band or just Laura? Frank Ocean is bisexual and I'm with Freud, I think we all are to a degree so I don't know if he deserves it. I find Tegan and Sara insufferable. Laura has come the furthest and makes the best music, give it to her.
It's not a competition of whoever is the gayest. It's recognizing the LGBTQ issues at hand. The lyrics at the very least can be impactful, or perhaps how the artist inspires and provides a good representation in their position as a public figure. Also, the "B" in LGBTQ stands for "bi" so your point is moot on Frank
