50% of me thought they would just be recurring group but not a main focus, the other 50% was just cope, apparently.
This trailer really didn't do it for me. It seems so far removed from the basis of this franchise that I'm just kinda meh on this
I just don't see how it's removed from the basis of whatever "franchise" was here to begin with. It's still a post-apocalyptic zombie survival jawn lol
I just liked how gritty and low budget the original looked and felt. It made me feel a little more connected to the characters. The "realistic" nature of just a virus breaking out like that was more interesting to me than this highly polished version of it we are getting now. I liked Years but the charm of the dirty nature of the first one is something I miss. I think the wackiness of the jumpsuit people is just a little much for me as well. I am interested in how they are planning on closing up this trilogy though so I'll keep watching and just reframe my mindset when it comes to these three movies.
With all of the caveats that always go along with first reactions… it sounds like this one is gonna be pretty damn good: Nia DaCosta's 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple First Reactions Especially excited by everyone saying this one is weirder and more brutal than Years, which was already pretty damn weird and brutal.
There was another new(?) trailer before Silent Night Deadly Night that really hammers home the doctor infecting himself. Looks fucking great
really good. not as harrowing as the last (which you might've gathered from that movie's ending) but it dials up everything weird and profane. less zombies in here too. ralph fiennes having a ball and there's one scene involving him i don't want to say anything about. it'd be nice if more recent mainstream fare got this fucked up
