If there's no third movie that's a shit ending

I don't think it retroactively hurts the film itself but it is extremely sad

 

I just think it doesn't make sense. It ends basically introducing new characters and a new chapter.

Most are assuming that them marketing The Bone Temple’s VOD as “the ending you’ve been waiting 28 years for” means the third has been quietly canceled.

 

to me, that ending was very pointedly setting up another chapter

 

no one is saying it is confirmation, but using "ending" was certainly an interesting choice of words to use there and it's hard to ignore that the film did badly.

This. While its a crime if we don’t see the fully realized vision for another trilogy but what a banger of a film to end on if it is the case

 

Just seems weird to me that they wouldn’t assume more butts would be in seats if Cillian is in it and it’s properly titled and marketed.

 

They’ve used that language during the marketing.
