I think its how they portrayed the deaths in Weeks that made it feel more off-putting than Days; like the wife surviving, only to have her eyes pushed it by the zombie dad, and then die a 2nd time from the bomb explosion, Rose Byrne dying by blunt trauma via gun, also from the zombie dad, Renner dying via flame-thrower, and then ending of the infected kid making it to France and causing the outbreak there.

They use military time here in Europe/Norway and over 3 years later my brain still hasn't gotten used to it. I keep my phone on military time, but I still catch myself having to sometimes mentally convert it to the 12-hr clock, just to confirm.

Not that it’s a bleak competition, but I feel like a mother getting abandoned by her husband, living through it because she’s immune, not get to see her children who are in the same building as her, get brutally murdered by said husband and then have her body charred by a fire is pretty damn dark.

Plus, an Army just indiscriminately killing civilians.

Also, it proves Rose Byrne has always had a flawless American accent

  12. It's definitely dark and it's not a competition, I just think the deaths described from Weeks are (relatively dark) horror movie shit where as the threat to Selena and Hannah in 28 Days Later is like, straight-up evil human being shit that is grounded.

This is true. And I guess Days just seems a little lighter because there’s those really beautiful moments of levity, where there’s nothing in Weeks. And in Days, the villains get got, where Weeks, the daughter unceremoniously has to kill her dad. But yeah, the reality of what the soldiers are doing is terrifying in Days.

This is such a strange film, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. There were a lot of things I really liked, and a lot of stuff I didn't like.

The ending was fun, I hope we get more of that.

English people really suck at speaking English though. Could have used subtitles for the first half.
