also I was full on sobbing at Jodie's monologue about the angel, that shot when her dad was standing behind her fully broke me, just incredible stuff there

seriously need to know what the deal was with that creepy mask

Great film. Can’t wait for the sequel. The set up at the end felt wacky though. A lot of the people in the theater didn’t know two are planned and were pretty confused lol

    Only two questions:

    1. the fat worm eating infected that crawl around - is that a mutation of the virus? Like most of the others (outside of the alpha) are super skinny but runners. Do we think these thicc ones are like that because of the virus?

    2. why wouldn’t the doctor kill Samson after tranquilizing him. Why let him live?

I freaking loved this. Did not expect to feel as drawn in emotionally as I ended up. Based on all the trailers and promo, the doctor scenes being the ones with all the bone monuments was jarring but I was all for it. Cannot wait to see how twisted this gets in the next two

The rage zombie giving birth and the mom (Isla?) being there for her was so good. Really beautiful and touching in a crazy way. Favorite part of the movie. Fuck that Swede; glad he died; didn’t deserve to have his head worked into that cool bone shit.

Isla was right when she said he was a dick.

I know she was also calling her son her dad in that scene. But calling out the Swede with baby-killing in his soul was a moment of clarity.
