that's a description of 28 Days Later

and again, they are not zombies

 

I liked this a lot. Definitely the least tense of the entries and fairly straightforward. But the acting, Ralph's scene with Isla, the brief moments of humor and keeping it mostly contained really grounded it and made it something interesting. I thought there was a lot of interesting visuals but I think my favorite was how they handled the infected, specifically the first time you see the large infected, because they made it seem like it was out of an old school zombie flick with the makeup and use of practical effects. They look dumb but dumb in a way that's nostalgic.

A lot of people are so focused on the dongs and I actually don't understand why people are even talking about them because it just was people naked, like what's the big deal about that?

The only part I didn't enjoy was the ending because it was so tonally different that it nearly gave me whiplash.

Still don't think it needs to be a trilogy, but still interested enough to keep watching.

 

I think people are talking about the hogs because you don’t get a lot of films with hogs flopping around for roughly 15 minutes of screen time.

 

Especially in a major studio blockbuster release.

Would be less noticeable in an A24 horror for example where it’s expected

 

They were also quite large and distracting.

They're just dongs and if you're THAT distracted apparently the movie isn't that good

I think a few people mentioning the hogs isn’t a big deal and mostly people just joking around. Weird thing to get hung up on.

 

We can like the movie and acknowledge them hogs were hoggin.

Did anyone else like the shot when they were running from the big dude going back to the village and you could see the northern lights?
I thought that was pretty cool. I think I'd have to watch this movie again but I think I'd still probably put it below the other two movies

 

I mean, most likely it will go above the second movie but the second movie just felt like an actual horror in a lot more ways. This one was much more emotional with the whole doctor part.

 

It’s not that they were centering in on hog, it’s just that anytime a group of naked people is running, one of the things that’s going to get noticed even in quick shots is hog flopping all over the place. Then add the alphas and their giant hogs on top of it and well…
