Which I assume then implies that the Rage virus itself has changed, in that once bitten with that version you then transform into an Alfa? That there are now multiple strains of the virus on the island? Looked like she had been an Alfa for quite a while, which I assumed would have damaged the baby by the time of the birth

1. placenta protected the baby and 2. she wasn't an alpha

 

When do you think she got pregnant. Pre or post infection?

 

this movie wasn’t that complicated man yall are doing too many mental gymnastics over a pretty clear movie

 

That was a joy to watch.

 

Also laughed my ass off so hard in the scene where Erik was showing Spike the photo of his ex-fiance.

 

I laughed out loud legit. Loved it

 

Omg this was amazing.

Wow, the sequence when the alpha was running down the causeway. I have not been that stressed out in a movie theater in a long time. I was practically out of my seat.

Also, I had no idea there would be a sequel so the ending made me so damn happy. YESSSSSS!!

 

What the fuck how did this get through the studio system (especially a studio like Sony). This was incredible. Not that it matters but are general audiences going to hate this?

 

Sony is dying for hits and IP with name recognition. I gotta assume the deal when Boyle got the rights back to the franchise from Fox was that he has full control over the project.

 

I loved this. I've also never seen anything like it. Felt like the movie invented a new film language at times. Was it occasionally confusing? Yes. But it was always mesmerizing.

Causeway scene oddly reminded me of the Running Up That Hill scene in Stranger Things 4 in that I was simultaneously terrified and awestruck.

Also, I loved the distinctive structure of the film and how every act felt memorable in completely different ways. It was so clearly organized I feel like I can recall all of it.

 

Samson deserved the alpha title, yall see that hog

 

I watched this on Friday night and it's awesome, bring on The Bone Temple!!

 

I need to see this. I keep hearing the craziest of things. Hopefully tomorrow when the wife is back in town.

 

Just finished up 28 weeks later. Second half of that one was hardcore
