is there any reason why 1/2 of the top 10 are shortstops? is there just more positional value there?

 

yes

 

Easier for a SS to switch to second or third than the other way around

 

shortstops in a draft will almost always be among the most athletic players and teams will either develop them at that position or find a spot anywhere else in the field for them to excel in

the rays drafted theo gillen two years ago as a shortstop and now he’s a very good center fielder in the minors

 

royals have a SS they drafted i think relatively highly recently too and i was like why, bobby's gonna be here 10 more years

but that makes sense

floor is fine but the cap is so unrealistic lol

 

12 teams are below the floor currently and 9 teams are above the cap.

 

i think 150mil floor, 300mil cap is fine

let the best players get paid and simply build around it

 

just don't let CJ McCollum negotiate for the players

 

A's gonna give Kurtz 100 mil a year just to meet the floor
