It’s an interesting class where there aren’t many QBs, and the blue chip prospects are all at “non-premium positions” so there’s a bit more fluidity to things.
Packers select: D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana My dude is only 5' 9" and 173lbs but he's scrappy and very quick
EDIT: Pittsburgh selects Anthony Hill, Jr., Linebacker, Texas. Not an immediate need, but he'd be a nice pairing with Peyton Wilson after we inevitably move on from Patrick Queen in a year or so. Fast and rangy. Adds speed to a notoriously slow defense. @JRShoenberger Eagles up
Eagles select Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee Long, lanky guy with so much speed. Solid downfield threat for the Eagles. @CarpetElf Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers select Christen Miller, IDL, Georgia Lets Caldwell go back and play his more natural nose while fortifying their interior line as an elite run stopping unit. Jacksonville Jaguars select R Mason Thomas, EDGE, Oklahoma The Jags might be the team in most desperate need for EDGE3. Since Josh Hines Allen was drafted, no one has gotten less production off the bench. R Mason also gives them a chance to utilize Travon inside on passing downs more as well, solving two problems in one. Chicago Bears select Gracen Halton, IDL, Oklahoma I was torn on the order but Thomas/Halton were gonna be the next two picks. The Bears pass rush needs improvement and Halton is a rare pass rushing tackle that isnt a huge liability against the run @tkamB 49ers
Texans select Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati I don’t particularly like Al-Shaiir or To’oTo’o and I really don’t like their depth options behind them, so we’ll try to upgrade their LB corps
Chicago selects Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri Best case scenario for the Bears as they have now filled their three biggest holes. Los Angeles Rams select Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia I'm not terribly high on him tbh. Any prospect who can be described as "needing to go to the perfect place" is someone I'm gonna be lower on. That said, LA is the perfect place. McVay is going to draw some absolute bullshit up for Branch. @Texas Flood
Zion Young is the prospect I’m having the most trouble with. He gets mocked to the Pats a lot but seems like an Edge who excels at everything except rushing the passer which, like, is kinda the gig?
