i'm definitely not driving across the country, but in the right situation with the right company, a 12-15 hour maximum drive seems fun still. anything longer than that i'd probably just spend the money to fly because youre probably spending more money on gas and hotels and pitstops than just eating the cost of airfare.

 

I think ~6-8 hours is my ceiling and then i'm just getting a flight and getting to the fun stuff

 

It's true

 

My limit is 6.5-7 hours which is Denver to Albuquerque, and we're that doing on Sunday

 

I picked basically Boston to NYC or DC area

 

Or LA to LA

 

NC to Maryland and NC to Florida are basically my limits. Haven’t done a drive out west from NC really in a long time.

I've driven OR to FL and FL to OR a couple times the past few years. I try to do 18 hours the first day, sleep for a few hours, do another 14-16 day 2, and depending on the route only have 8-10 hours day 3

In the past, I've even forced myself to not listen to music for the first 8 hours of a day to prove to myself I'm built a little different

 

Feels like we've been in Hoagie's Choice longer than usual threads. Are we getting close to moving?

My friend and I did a trip to NYC and back to see Gaslight back in the day. I drove the whole way there and drove most of the way back but was finally just getting too tired so I let her drive. I spent all of 3 minutes in the passenger seat before I was so freaked out by not driving my own car that I drove the rest of the way back again lol

Gaslight also played a song specifically for me and I have a photo of that show hanging on my wall

 

I’ll be driving to Pittsburgh on Friday
