I have seen a couple of the Very Important People videos and they're not bad

 

As far as Oahu goes, I would prefer to stay on the north shore. Plenty of fun to be had in Honolulu but you gotta get out of the city and experience the more laid back parts of the island

 

funnily enough i have not watched any of that one

 

It's definitely different but the costumes are cool and im a sucker for some good improv.

On the flip side, Honolulu is designed for mass tourism and the remote sides of the island are not lol. Hawaii is amazing and I’m not gonna admonish any single person for experiencing it - but big picture it’s pretty sad how entitled we as Americans feel to spoiling pristine land and communities with tourism just because the US annexed Hawaii as a state

 

That said the damage has mostly already been done on Oahu, I mean there’s two military bases and like 6 huge shopping malls there lol. the other islands like Kauai and Maui are where that perspective is still relevant
