The Titans select Cam Ward, QB, Miami

This is the only logical pick. Year 2 of the Callahan regime must not depend on Will Levis. I like Ward, I think he would have been QB4 last year, but the draft is the draft. I HATE HATE HATE DOUBLE HATE LOATHE ENTIRELY the idea of taking Carter or Hunter and then hoping you get Dart at 33. That to me is GM Malpractice. Just gonna get the guy and go on from there.

The Browns select Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

The Browns are old and in no position to reach for players, thus they take the number 1 overall prospect in Hunter. I see him playing primarily on offense with maybe two minute packages on defense. Cleveland's WR rooms is thin and they need to add playmakers and depth. Plus since the Browns just signed an elite qb who needs to draft one at 2. I'm still pretty torn on what I want the Browns to do, having two elite pass rushers is hard to pass up. But I think this is where the Browns will ultimately go.

  11. New York Football Giants select Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

This is a slightly awkward spot for the Giants. I think their ideal pick is Travis Hunter. But if he goes at #2, then ultimately they will be deciding between Carter, Sanders or trading back. Despite having some quality edge rushers already on the roster, I think Carter is the smarter way to go. I mean, just ask yourself, which player on the board will improve us the most right now, and 5 years from now? The answer is very obvious imo.

Another note, you can never have too many pass rushers or DLmen. The Eagles have laid the blueprint recently.

I'm gonna mix things up a bit.

The Patriots select Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Disclaimer: I don't think this is going to happen. But as Kyle Crabbs and Joe Marino like to say, mock drafts are about exploring scenarios. I've done one with Campbell, one with Membou. Time to shake it up.

    On to Walker...

The Patriots pass rush last season was PUTRID. They were something like 29th in the league, and that's after a nine-sack performance against a Bears team that had fired their coach and interim coach already. Milton Williams and Harold Landry are a start, but Landry is on the decline, and Williams has every-down snap ability concerns so I'm far from considering the front 7 settled. Walker rules he's fun as hell to watch, and he meshes with the intangibles Vrabel has been looking for.

Oh also, I'm on the clock again because...

    ***TRADE***

The New Orleans Saints have traded 9 and 71 for #5

(Elf you offered this and I know you're at work so i'm just assuming you're accepting my acceptance.

The New Orleans Saints select Shedeur Sanders. This roster is putrid. This is about as bad of a setup as you can have for a rookie QB, and I don't think much of Kellen Moore either. So I believe three things:

    1) This will happen
    2) This will fail
    3) It's worth trying anyway

You simply can not go into the season thinking about Spencer Rattler, and I truly dislike the other options as anything more than "we have Spencer Rattler at home already"

At the end of the day, it's Peter Carroll still. And their best corner was a guy the PATRIOTS cut a couple years back so lol
