  2. Honestly I've just been copying and pasting the front page for like 6 years lol. Haven't even changed the links. I'll take him off tho

  3. Think they attack that in FA. Plus I'm not that big on Will Johnson

  4. With the 5th overall pick, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

I'm not taking Ashton Jeanty and the other candidates for blue chip territory have arguments either way, which to me says they aren't. McMillan is a solid B+ pick. Coen has his Godwin, now he gets his Evans. Reportedly, McMillan is high on his board already - though the other guy in the picture takes the top spot - so this feels like a realistic pick.

    - 2nd lowest deep ball drop rate
    - most productive WR in the draft over the middle of the field
    - strong contested catch numbers without the dreaded high contested target%
    - 2nd most broken tackles and 4th highest broken tackle rate
    - 2nd highest career 1st down conversion rate

Worst thing really is a lot of his numbers are simply fine/good without being the eye-popping level of great that you'd want out of a top five pick. I think his value for the Jags is higher than others purely based on Coen's scheme and the fact that he'll be playing with BTJ. Comparison is Tee Higgins - a (potentially) elite WR2 that I think wouldn't have the same spark as the WR1.

This couldn't have worked out better for the Raiders. Tom Brady's devil magic knows no bounds.

I just personally take the blue chip player over the non blue chip player even if it’s a RB. Don’t get admitting that Jeanty is special, rare, once in awhile plus near-record production AND admitting Tet is probably maxing out at “great WR2” and his numbers don’t scream top 5, but still taking Tet

conventional wisdom is fine, yes there’s evidence to suggest that RB is rarely ever a value pick early, but I’d think whoever you take instead of the super-elite RB has got to at least be in the same tier. I get not taking him over another incredible talent at any other position sans special teams, but once you hit that talent drop off and there’s one truly elite prospect left, smash that button imo.

that said, fuck it two lead WRs go vroom, if that doesn’t fix Trevor Lawrence then idk what does. I like it from that angle. I also like it from the angle of, Coen’s offense just made both White AND Irving look like lead RB1s but his offense benefited from a great receiver room, on paper drafting the WR makes sense there also. Context matters and it’s not like taking Tet wouldn’t make sense.

BUT If we are straight up comparing Tet to Jeanty, like, who are you getting more talent with, it’s Jeanty all the way and haters gonna hate but that’s just how I would draft - ESPECIALLY when the only decision that makes sense with our existing RB is to let him walk. And sure we can get other great RBs later but that’s absolutely true of finding a possession WR2 as well. If it was Tet vs a slightly better but not super rare talent at RB my opinion is different.

  12. This is too deep of an RB draft. If it was a shallow draft, like it is at WR, I'd be all for it. But rn there's 2 MAYBE 3 first round WRs and rn I don't have any in the 2nd except that maybe 1st rounder

  14. Yeah this is a VERY good RB class. Read somewhere that there's 18 RBs that averaged 90 YPG or more over their career. Last year there were 3. And the last time we had a class with more than 10 it was 2017

As long as you let me grumble about it if Jeanty is good as fuck on another team

With the 7th pick, the New York Jets select:

    Jalon Walker - DE/LB - Georgia

Glenn wants to establish a new, tougher culture in New York. Jalon Walker can do it all up front and he's known as one of the best leaders in this draft class. This pick gets the Jets a potential tone setter moving forward.

Walker gets on the field early at edge as Jermaine Johnson eases back in from the achilles injury. I think he can also play all three linebacker spots in Glenn's scheme too. Glenn wants to blitz and the only prospect better than him there is the one that went #1 overall.

Don’t get the Walker hate. Dude has potential to be an elite version of Hassan Reddick.

  24. I don't hate him but I think he's being wildly overrated. I'm not a huge fan of taking "could be great" over "is great". Think his value is also very different depending on where he goes. I love him for the Jets, but that's probably the only top ten team i think is worth it.
