2025 NFL Mock Draft 1.0 - Congrats, Refs! • Page 16

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars select Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State

2023 he was looking like a 1st round pick but a partially torn ACL put a quick end to his 2024 season. Jaguars DBs couldn't tackle for shit last year. Winston has two career missed tackles, which is 1st in class by an unfathomably large margin.

We're gonna call it after 3, like usual. The combine starts this upcoming week.

    Jaguars end up with:

    Tetairora McMillian, WR, Arizona
    Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame
    Jared Ivey, EDGE, Mississippi
Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State

I didn't take a guard or corner despite those being needs because I expect both of those to be taken care of during free agency. Tet gives us a great WR2, Ivey finally gives us a third edge rusher, and Watts + Winston are a potentially excellent safety duo.

With the 89th pick the Houston Texans select Anthony Belton, T, NC State

Belton is another Senior Bowl participant that put together a solid week of reps against some of the better pass rushers in this draft. Belton has a large frame with solid arm length and athleticism for his size. Belton could bounce between Tackle and Guard early on in his career, and become a possible Tunsil replacement or take over one of the revolving door Guard spots permanently. The traits are all there for him to become a solid NFL starter.

Sebastian Castro, Iowa, Safety is headed to the ravens. Hamilton is a chess piece that can go anywhere, Castro is a heavy hitter and I like when I read things like “linebackers mentality” and “controlled violence” and “arrives with bad intentions” when talking about making a tackle. Sounds like a raven to me.

    The rivalry is back on

Browns select Smael Mondon, LB, UGA

Continuing the restocking of the Brownies D. He and Jeffrey Bassa are the two off ball LBs I’m keeping the closest eye on at the combine, because I think they both have a solid chance to solidify a spot near the top of the logjam of day 2/early day 3 LB prospects.

    Browns:
    Travis Hunter
    Mike Green
    Malaki Starks
    Omarion Hampton
    Mason Taylor
    Will Howard
    Smael Mondon

    Colts:
    Shemar Stewart
    Darien Porter
    Elijah Arroyo

    Seahawks:
    Armand Membou
    Carson Schwesinger
    Jalen Royals

love this Browns haul as a “what if” if they tear down to the studs. Idk if the Colts would lean this heavy into traits > production after a little shift last year towards valuing production, but this is a pretty good class of that. Seahawks check a bunch of need boxes here
