I’m happy having DK Metcalf, but I would have also been happy with any number of Rd1-2 WRs.

 

I’m slightly warming up to the idea of a WR with the pick. If Graham and Walker are both gone it’s probably the move. I know trading back is the ideal thing to do but I think that will be hard to do this year.

I’d prefer Warren over Tet but I get it if Tet ends up being the pick.

I feel very confident that Walker is their guy and will be the pick if he makes it. But if not…who the hell knows.

 

If it's any consolation, the reason I'm in on Golden and not those pure X receivers applies to Tet as well.

 

Tbh I still don’t like Tet lol but I’ve seen clips from some of the more veteran draft people and they seem to like him quite a bit. So whatever. We need a pass catcher.

 

I don't love him top 10 but I think he'll be good.

 

I just love Jaylin Noel lol I think he’s the best WR in the class outside Hunter. It’d be really dumb to take him #8 but I think he’s better than Tet and a better fit for what we need. Just figure out a way to leave the draft with him please.

At this point, I’m preferring DT round 1 for Pittsburgh. Not sure the board really lines up for any other position for them. But it also makes round 3 a little wonky. If we could somehow trade back and get a 2nd, I’d be thrilled.

 

There's also nothing wrong with being a system QB and like uhhhh... isn't that the fucking goal? Get a coach, get a QB, build a system, win with that, and just keep winning?? Every single franchise in the league would be happy to get a coach and a QB and build a winning system for the next decade.

I thought I was agreeing with you lol so confused on if I even know what conversation I'm participating in.

 

System QB implies: "not very talented, his coach is doing the work for him." Which was very much not the story with Tom Brady, but for 20 years it was 'he's a dink and dunk system QB." And now it's "Well he always had a plus arm and elite traits" is where i'm like...nah, shut up lol
