little nugget for those who aren't already on the hype train - i isolated every threshold for a tier 1 corner (which right now there have been 10 of in the last decade) and the only players that hit every threshold for their career are Travis Hunter, Jahdae Barron, and Trey Amos.

I mean yeah I agree they should be aggressive and fun

Is now the time though? And is that the player to be aggressive and fun with? Idk. I feel like the asking price to go up for Travis Hunter has gotta be INSANE or not for sale, either/or

 

I would trade down to 13 for a HAUL, but it would have to be a haul.

 

I feel like certain players would have to go in the package (like Parsons) and then the fun gets a lot less fun for Dallas

Like I don't see a situation where the team trading out of the spot doesn't win, they have all the leverage and Travis Hunter is that special to demand it

 

who said the current team picking #13 wants to trade up though!?

Actually...there's a bit of a fit thing happening here.

#12 + Tyler Guyton is an interesting start.



Something like this gives the Patriots their 1st round offensive tackle, and you can double down with Campbell and now turn the OL into a strength when before it was the worst in the league.

Guyton / Campbell / Bradbury / Onwenu / Moses is objectively pretty good. Plus the two Iowa State WRs and now Drake Maye is cooking.

It does look great for y'all and isn't an overpay for either side really. I just still don't think it's ideal enough for Dallas to want to make the move work. Too much that needs to be corrected as a whole

I don't think so either, I just think it's not AS outlandish as I did when the idea started.

There's also the idea of the Saints moving up from 9 and pairing Olave or something like that.

I could see him getting snaps at WR while being full time CB but not full time both ways

 

Still think he's worth the high pick regardless

 

I don't think he'll play every snap for each side, but he's too good at both not to roll him out there on both ends

 

The Patriots have had multiple wide receivers play corner, and vice versa, so like...it's def not impossible but whatever team picks him is gonna probably choose a dominant position and then build some packages for the other end.
