Kiper's newest mock has Tet going to Denver at 20.

Should I even get my hopes up or nah?

    No chance lol

  3. I get the feeling he’s going to go later than everyone thinks. It seems like fans are higher on him than teams.

  6. My thing is, I don’t really care how great you are at contested catches….if you lack the ability to get open and aren’t very explosive, you will probably get eaten up in the league. Maybe I’m underestimating his ability to create separation but in my admittedly limited research, I don’t see it.

I’m not saying he will be a bust or anything. I just don’t see the WR1 of a draft class type player.

Give me Egbuka, Golden, or maybe even Burden over him.

I mean I like Tet too, but he sounds an awful lot like Devante Parker did coming out

  9. *eyes glaze over like the guy from Dune*

The best start regarding ability to separate - aside from actually tracking the yards of separation - is percentage of contested targets. Tet has a career rate of 24.9% and a final season rate of 23.1%. 33 out of 400+ players hit both those marks.

    Alec Pierce
    Antonio Gandy-Golden
    Bub Means
    Casey Washington
    De'Corian Clark
    Denzel Mims
    Devin Carter
    Dyami Brown
    Elic Ayomanor
    Grant DuBose
    Hakeem Butler
    JJ Arcega-Whiteside
    Jackson Meeks
    Jake Bobo
    Jalen Camp
    Ja'Marr Chase
    Johnny Wilson
    Jonathan Adams Jr.
    Joshua Palmer
    Keon Coleman
    Luke McCaffrey
    Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
    Marvin Harrison Jr.
    Michael Wilson
    Nico Collins
    Quentin Johnston
    Quintez Cephus
    Roc Taylor
    Seth Williams
    Tetairora McMillan
    Tylan Wallace
    Will Shepard

So two guys in Tier 3 or better, two of whom were pure alphas in college that drew an insane amount of attention (Chase to the point that Terrace Marshall got drafted in the second lol) and the third is Nico Collins who went in the third.

  10. That list isn’t convincing me he’s worthy of a top 20 pick tbh lol

I'm a Tet believer, but this list makes me...less so? I mean, what are the odds he's Ja'Marr Chase and not JJ Arcega-Whiteside?

Unless I'm misunderstanding the stat, basically of the players who have that high of a contested catch rate, only 12.5% of the, are any good really?

So...a larger share of his targets are contested vs. his contemporaries?

I just do not see how Cleveland in good conscience can pass on a QB at 2 and do the Kenny Pickett reclamation tour

  22. Yeah so basically if a large portion of his targets like that are thrown into coverage, it's almost always an indicator of poor separation.

Oh okayyyy See I thought you were saying it as a defense of him like he's actually a good separator and I was like "I MUST be misunderstanding this."

  25. All the national guys seem split on it. Lot of the regional ones too. Could just be people creating a narrative cause of their new OC but I've been seeing some Jalen Milroe to Cleveland takes that are swaying me a little
