    The rivalry is back on

Ratledge, Wilson, Brinson, and Mondon all profile as the kind of guys Ballard would like and are at positions of need for depth, so I’m hopeful this is the year that IND finally drafts a Dawg again

  8. WIDE RECEIVERS:

I changed my grading system to something more objective than "he good, he ok, he bad". It's production-based, which I know is flawed, but it's better than before and I don't care as much for WRs, whose impact is largely production-based anyway. In general, I'd consider anything Tier 3 and above a hit. I'm not feeling like writing a whole ass thing for everything just yet so I'm just gonna post some relevant stats and the prospects that raise red flags in that area - usually that's around a <6% hit rate.

Just a quick glance through and these (somewhat relevant) guys are raising a decent amount of red flags:
    • Arian Smith
    • Beaux Collins
    • Dominic Lovett
    • Elic Ayomanor
    • Isaiah Bond
    • Isaiah Neyor
    • Jimmy Horn Jr.
    • Kobe Hudson
    • Samuel Brown
    • Savion Williams
    • Tez Johnson
    • Will Sheppard

    Who’s falling?

Edit: I missed the red flags the first time and now I'm sad to see my guy Tez on the list.

Don't ask me how, but I just got around to seeing this comment and that makes so much sense and is simultaneously infuriating.

I’ll take the Patriots roster situation 10/10 times over any situation that necessitates drafting Dart before round 5

It’s less about how good/bad he is, and more about my not believing in the concept of mid-round QBs.

I think the draft stock of a QB is so inflated that anyone who SHOULD be a 2nd round pick is still bumped into the top-10. So someone who is fringe 1st but anywhere between the 2nd and the 3rd doesn’t do it for me.

Always exceptions to the rule, I was a big believer in Lamar so not iron clad. I just think if I was drafting my philosophy would be QBs early in the first, or late in the draft as a developmental option.

In theory yeah but it also heavily depends on who actually needs a QB. 2017 draft Mahomes was a #10 and people called it a reach saying he was a round 2 guy and Watson was later than Mahomes, and obviously we know what happened with Watson but his NFL play before that told a different story. I think QBs being pushed up mostly just has to do with who actually needs the QBs in the first place

Oh definitely. It’s all fluid and none of these rules or whatever really mean anything because so much changes year to year.

I just think this QB Class kinda stinks and there’s more demand than supply for QBs and that is benefitting Dart more than his workouts or his tape.

But again, I woulda said drafting Dak was stupid so what do I know lol

I feel that way about some QBs in this class, just not Dart, so I get ya

The thing I HATE that I keep seeing get mocked, and I get why it’s happening, is Carter at #1 and Dart at #33. Like, to go that route you gotta really feel it in your boots about Dart or Ward lol
