A 2026 1 feels like a potential sweet spot for Stafford. Giants are presumably taking him thinking they’ll be good (or at least better) next year and Rams would be playing the long game anyways

The Rodgers trade was Rodgers, 15 & 170 for 13 42, 203 and a conditional 2024 2nd that could have been a 1st

I can’t see the giants swapping from 3 to 20 something. Maybe a 2026 1st does make sense

 

Maybe giants trade back to raiders then swap

 

I have absolutely no issue with them trading for Stafford as long as they do keep that first round pick but part of me is against trading for Stafford because he's only gonna be playing another two maybe three years of good football if you even get good football out of him for the next two or three years with the team that they have around him, you're just prolonging needing to look for a young quarterback again and I just think the time is now to try and jump on someone if you think they're it.

if nobody in the Giants organization thinks the best three or four quarterbacks coming into this draft are going to be worth anything Then fine trade for Stafford, but I also don't know how well I trust the current talent evaluation going on in that front office.

I think everyone seeing how quickly the Rodgers thing failed could drop the price for a similarly aged QB quite a bit.

 

my thoughts are that Stafford would be a waste for the Giants. Their roster stinks overall.
