if you do not pick a QB in the top ~40, you might as well light your draft pick on fire tbh

take a look at the history of guys drafted pick 50 or later. Like 90% of them don't even become backups.

I am of the mindset that if a quarterback is 2nd round good, they probably stink. Because if they were any good, the hype that happens to QBs would propel them into the first round because teams are dumb if that makes sense.

taking a QB past pick 40ish is a waste of time

 

Idk if I’d argue waste of a pick, just more of a long shot. I also believe other than like 5 teams, I don’t mind if a team takes a QB every year.

Taking Maye and Milton was one of the only seemingly good ideas they had last year haha

The 2nd round i can forgive if it's within the first ten picks. That's basically the first round still. No difference to me there. All that means is they tried to trade up but couldn't.
