I honestly don’t know; he’s the most depressing part of all of this. But you gotta hold him for a season, give him 600 PAs and see what happens. If he tanks whatever lingering value he has, so be it. But the slim slim upside potential still makes that worth it

 

But this is a team starting opening day with Nolan Gorman on the bench, so I’m not sure we’re actually committed to finding out what the young guys are or aren’t. I think we might just be committed to cutting payroll and saying we’re doing other shit instead

And yes, I do bite the once in awhile they go on a "!!!!! COULD THEY MAKE A RUN!?" everytime -- my Grandpa instilled in me (and I don't dislike the team/fans myself just like how my mom loathes seafood so I never touch it now) "Never the Yankees" cus he was a Dodgers fan as a kid till they left and picked up the Mets the minute they arrived.
(He even side eyed me for supporting them when they beat the Phillies in the world series, and the Phillies is the only team in sports I don't like, like PAPA THEYRE RIVALS! (rip) same as me ofc rooting for the Giants over the Patriots in the superbowl as a Jets fan for OBVIOUS reasons even if it's forget them any other time lol.

Lol Grandpa was too humble and despised arrogance, he disliked some of the Yankees fans cockiness even back in the 50s which is crazy lol.
