Not only this but people are acting like the Dodgers just steamrolled teams while winning two straight championships. We easily could be making fun of them for spending so much money and not winning anything.

I would prefer the Padres beat the Dodgers, but I’ll certainly always have a soft spot for the Dodgers for how mentally unwell they’ve made select fanbases.

He’s done a weird job. He’s done an outstanding job building up the pitching prospects in the minors and made some really good trades. He’s also gotten extensions done with Crochet and Anthony, which is something past regimes haven’t been able to do.

On the flip side, he’s seems like he always needs to prove himself as being the smartest guy in the world. Seems to be difficult to deal with in trade talks and signing FAs (he basically wants to win every trade and signing and it has to be under his terms). He’s made some bad trades. He has a few close circle in the Sox front office and doesn’t really listen to outside people. And of course the Devers situation was a huge black cloud.

I’m willing to give him some more time because I don’t think he’s an awful President of Baseball Ops and because the Red Sox seem to go through that job like they are changing underwear and we need some stability in the front office but he does need to mature in the role and look in the mirror and change his approach at times. Of course ownership needs to stop acting like a mid market team and spend money if they are serious about winning.
