he was good but he has a recent track record (2022-24) of being bad and the worry is that he'll regress to being worse rather than maintaining this year's production

but one more year as a left-handed hitter in yankee stadium, it's hard to see him being super super terrible to the point where a 22m outlay is that big of a concern, though you could quibble that the money might better be spent elsewhere
