What if they could get him for like $5 million? I could see the Dodgers signing him as their 4th ace.

    Who did they have

im blanking but even then they have a whole roster already

ohtani, Yamamoto, snell, Glasnow, Sasaki, sheehan is probably the likely 6 do next year and I doubt they make Sasaki a bullpen guy

and now May is gone and miller is probably on the way out too lol

Gonsolin might be around next year as the 7/8 idk I just don’t think it be smart to go after him

Dodgers rotation is set imo, I’m sure they’ll make the call to see but I doubt Skubal ends up there

they need to overhaul their entire bullpen and need outfield help more than another starting pitcher

I think they have a bullpen good enough to get them to at least the NLCS.

If it’s fully healthy, sure. But Sasaki will be moving out of the pen, BlaQ sucks, Vesia is a good one, but you don’t have a close out guy anymore if Sasaki is in the rotation.

    Vesia, Casparius, Henriquez, Wrobleski, Dreyer

are the only ones I trust out of the bullpen at this very moment so they need some new bodies

Trienen is unfortunately still with us one more year

I feel like it has to be the Mets. they have really good pitching prospects to move for him, and they are one of the only teams that probably would also be unafraid to gamble on him, knowing they could win most bid wars to keep his services.

I’d also love the Red Sox to be a destination if Breslow wants to be stupid and give up their top pitching prospect.

Ultimately, i’m fully prepared for Harris to mess this up and get an underwhelming return for Skubal, but i am also really excited that the rumors are they’re seriously considering listening to offers… i’d much rather him take advantage of Skubal’s trade value and help the team long term rather than go all in on one more year of his services. i feel like this is an unpopular opinion in Detroit, but i would rather he recoups players and then brings in a different but also quality SP (or two) to try and fill the giant hole they’ll have losing Skubal.

especially with how kinda light Detroit’s SP prospects seem to be.. bringing in an MLB ready prospects- Mets have several, and maybe also pulling a bat from their roster in the process could be really advantageous given the situation.
