Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Because they’re trying to force a salary cap and players do not want to agree to that so yeah of course it’s a fight lol come on man

  4. My way too early prediction for next year is the dodgers will beat either Boston, Tampa, or Baltimore in the World Series

That was really entertaining last week of games for a broken sport I guess

Mets should be a perennial World Series contender by now with how they spend right? But the sport is broken!

Angels in a big market, with two of the most talented players ever should have easily made the playoffs a bunch and won a title!

    broken sport

I also just don’t understand hand wringing about it unless you are seriously considering not watching anymore (Royal you not drew specifically)

Yeah like the one thing I can say about this World Series with full confidence is that I was entertained. Can’t ask for a lot more than that personally, it was one of the best I’ve ever seen

This guy is out to lunch, if the Yankees won multiple titles with the Dodgers payroll we’d never hear the end of it! In fact the narrative in the early aughts was exactly this, that the Yanks were buying their was to a title!!

Yankees had unlikable players at their heyday of spending, think that’s why they get so much more venom at them from that

lol they were dubbed the evil empire for signing Jose Contreras. They def caught flack for buying their championships, and on the flip side Red Sox fans obnoxiously beat their chest about how the ‘04 team wasn’t superstars like the Yankees, it was a bunch of idiots as if Schilling, Foulke, Manny and Damon weren’t all huge free agent acquisitions

I mean I hate A-Rod as much as the next guy, I’m just not convinced that makes enough of a difference. If today’s Yankees (or Red Sox) spent an exorbitant amount of money and won back to back we’d hear about it plenty.

I would concede my point if it was the Mets but that’s mostly because of their extended drought and general fun vibes

I’d be happy for Sean if the Mets won and then the next year I’d loathe them probably lol

If Kyle Tucker goes to the Dodgers over the Phillies its simply because the Phillies owner is being a cheap ass

the funny thing is I look at this class of free agents and I want the dodgers to sign literally zero of them unless they can find a depth outfielder

I like most of the players now besides Teoscar which he or maybe the whole team might need a new batting coach to step in

Lol yeah if the Yankees were having exactly the Dodgers success right now the complaining would literally be even worse, what fantasy land are we living in

  23. Once again, salary caps nearly every single time come with salary floors. Don’t really know what you guys are getting worked up. We aren’t getting one without the other to make an excuse for cheap owners like the reds or whatever. Weird thing to be upset about.

I like the dodgers cause they’re fun and I like Ohtani, Mookie and Yoshi
