As someone who doesn’t watch baseball except for some playoff games (and especially game 7’s) I imagine that had he not jumped he wouldn’t be out. I get turning around but if he didn’t jump the ball probably misses him so to a complete nobody who doesn’t follow baseball that seems like the correct call

 

Mariners can’t keep a lead to save their lives.
