and even the good season wasn’t really /that/ good, certainly not what you want from someone who went 1-1 in the draft, though it could have been a nice stepping stone

For sure. I thought that was the start of him figuring it out and he was going to build off that but instead he somehow regressed in every aspect and looks lost at the plate.
