I don't think his job is 100% safe right now I really think a lot of this mess is gonna fall on his lap and Cohen is going to have an absolute nightmare week this week thinking about what to do.

it seems like such an insane overreaction to say that Stearns needs to be fired but this entire season hinged on him thinking he was smarter than everybody else and it came crashing down on his face.

ultimately I don't think he gets fired but I don't think he gets the leash that Cohen gave him last off-season.

Probably not but when you have this kind of payroll and get top production from 4 dudes and have an embarrassing collapse like this.... you can't roll it back.

WS List of Rooting. Im bitter and want no one to have fun.

    1) Red Sox. (Random red Sox ws win out of nowhere that no one will talk about outside of Boston ever again...stick it to the Yankees)

    2) Dodgers. (They won already... they can have another it doesnt matter, nothing matters)

    3) Brewers. (For real team I actually would be happy for. They also TRIED to do us a favor. This franchise deserves it)

    4) Mariners. (Respect this franchise. They dont deserve to have 0 ws appearances lol)

    5) Guardians. (I'll be in cleveland halloween weekend so this would be fun)

    6) Reds
    7) Padres
    8) Blue Jays
    9) Tigers
    10) Cubs
    11) Phillies ew
    12) Yankees ew

I'm trolling ebay trying to find a random Judge to add to the collection

I'm a singles man from now on. I had it with the blasters and singular topps chrome mega box (worst card purchase ever) this year

I will be rooting for the following teams in this order unless I change my mind on a whim:

    1. Mariners
    2. Brewers
    3. Tigers
    4. Padres
    5. Yankees
    6. Phillies
    7. Blue Jays
    8. Reds
    9. Guardians
    10. Dodgers
    11. Cubs
    12. Red Sox

Strong preference for teams that have never won one obviously. Have nothing against the Ohio teams just not convinced they’re for real at all. I’m comfortable rooting for Yankees and Phillies because I would like to see Judge and Harper both get rings at some point…

Bottom two are purely personal lol not gonna pretend that’s grounded in anything rational

His worst full season since 2021 and he’s 1998 McGwire. Just fucking stupid lol

Really makes me think if we could time machine him back to the late 90s he’d crank 80 or something ridiculous, even staying off the juice. A lot of the offensive environment era-adjusting that wrc+ is doing is due to steroids inevitably, but not all of it—even some guys with no allegations hit bombs like never before or since during that period (Griffey most notably)

ABS is also gonna help him more than any other hitter which is wild to consider. Since his debut he has something like 350+ strikes called below the zone and 40 something strikeouts called below

Edit: also back then obviously nobody threw as hard. Randy Johnson was like 97 or 98 and that felt like 'holy shit' lol
