A lot of people who only follow great coastal teams don’t know that the Reds have excellent 1-2-3 starters and they have two of their next-in-line young starters throwing 100+ in the pen now, so they stack up really well on pitching.

Their offense is bad and Elly is having an off year, so they’d have to win 1-0 and 3-2 scores to advance. If the pitching falters and Dodgers score 5+ runs, the Reds will submit. It’s very rare that they explode on offense and that’s why they are a .500 team that can stymie the best teams and get beat up on by last place teams.
