FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Guys, good news, it's the shoulders fault that Volpe has the exact same terrible OPS as the previous two years

It’s a tough question too because you have to think about what qualifies a player as a superstar. Pure fame? Pure performance? Some of both?

If it’s some of both then I think it’s:
    Ohtani
    Judge
    Harper still
    Guerrero I guess because Canada
Skenes maybe, partially bc of Dunne
Witt maybe, or within a year or two
    Betts??
    Freeman???
    Acuña????

Guys like Lindor, Tatis post suspension, Seager, etc wouldn’t make my list but I also wouldn’t argue if someone else included them.

Then I think Verlander, Kershaw, Stanton etc are too far into their twilight for me to include them.

I think to be a superstar means that an average person/causal fan knows who the player is, his position and what team he plays for.

Skenes is the best pitcher in baseball but unfortunately the average person has no clue who he is.

Yeah I think I draw the line at where you questioned the guys. Betts is prob gonna decline sharply now and Acuna can't stay healthy.

I like that you didn't say Soto lolol

Can you get him out of the starting lineup? That's the best way

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Betts has looked like himself again this past month.

Well that's good. Just looked and his stats look better for sure. I like him, just not as much as I did like a year ago haha.

crazy how much dropping like 25 pounds at the start of the season screwed betts

most players start a little big and then drop weight throughout the season. almost no one adds weight in season. dropping crazy weight due to illness means you can't regain it, sapping power, etc

i'd imagine betts is good again next year and it seems like he's finally adapted his swing to his current weight
