During the Milwaukee series, an Apple TV announcer read a terrifying stat that the Brewers have the best record in the NL or maybe even baseball since the All-Star break and the Reds have the second best record. I can’t remember if it was the NL or all of the majors, but if the Reds have the second best record that means all of the good teams have been tanking for some reason except the Brewers.

 

it’s cool that like 3 different divisions or maybe 4 I forgot but they all changed leaders in like a 2 month span

 

Goes to show how good Milwaukee has been and how ass the Cubs have been.

I am torn on the entire league sans the Brewers inserting a stick into their own bike spokes. On one hand, the Reds could make a brief embarrassing appearance in the playoffs for the first time in half a decade (thinking a sweep with at least one no-hitter against them) but, on the other hand, this is rewarding and affirming the Reds front office’s long-term plan of barely trying at all.
